Trade Routes continues with Grand Caravan. This second guide breaks down all seven quest tabs, their resources and exactly where the event's 13,550 Event Coins come from.

Trade Routes contains three connected subevents. Roads Unlocked established the first set of objectives. Grand Caravan now introduces another seven quest tabs with very different resource requirements.

EVENT COINS

Regular vs Resource-Dependent Coins.

The distinction is important. Only 4,000 Event Coins come from the regular Arena route. The remaining coins depend on resources such as Artifact Coins, Artifact Chests, Emeralds or troop losses.

Spend Emeralds during the event. Milestones begin at 100 and continue up to 200,000 Emeralds spent.

The key milestone is 80,000 Emeralds. It awards Alecto's Primordial Skin and the entire 2,000 Event Coin contribution from this tab.

Spend Artifact Coins. The complete tab continues to 60,000 Artifact Coins, but you do not need to spend that amount to collect every Event Coin.

Spending 1,800 awards 350 Event Coins. Reaching 4,800 awards another 500.

Open Artifact Chests. Milestones begin at 10 chests and continue up to 125.

Opening 40 chests awards 300 Event Coins. Reaching 60 chests awards another 1,000.

Fight in the Arena. You do not need to win. Participation is what the quest requires.

Eight milestones run from 3 to 30 Arena battles and award a combined 4,000 Event Coins.

The seven-day event provides enough free Arena attempts to complete the 30-battle requirement. Spending Emeralds can finish it sooner, but does not increase the tab's Event Coin total.

Tactical Losses

Lose Level 6 troops. The accumulated milestones continue up to 65,000 troops.

This tab can only be completed once. It does not repeat after completion.

The first nine milestones award all 5,400 Event Coins by the time you reach 19,500 troops lost.

Realm resources total 1,070,000 Wood, 1,070,000 Food, 970,000 Stone and 840,000 Metal. The tab also provides 2 hours of Research Speedups, 9 hours of Construction Speedups, 15 Explorer Backpack Recipe Fragments and 10 Tiara of Wisdom Recipe Fragments.

Know Where the Coins Stop.

Grand Caravan is a good example of why the final milestone and the final Event Coin milestone should not be treated as the same thing.

  1. Use enough of your five free Arena attempts per day to reach 30 battles. You do not need to win.
  2. 4,800 Artifact Coins are enough to collect all 850 Event Coins from Artifacts Empowering. The tab itself continues to 60,000.
  3. 60 Artifact Chests collect all 1,300 Event Coins from Sealed Away. The tab continues to 125 chests.
  4. Wise Exchange gives all 2,000 Event Coins at 80,000 Emeralds spent, together with Alecto's Primordial Skin. The remaining milestones continue to 200,000.
  5. Tactical Losses gives all 5,400 Event Coins by 19,500 Level 6 troops lost. The tab continues to 65,000 troops.
  6. Consider the cost of replacing Realm troops before pursuing Tactical Losses solely for Event Coins.
  7. Generous Soul contains valuable resources but no Event Coins. Judge its VIP milestones according to purchases you already intend to make.
