GUUS FULL GUIDE

HEALER • WAY OF HONOR • MIDDLE LINE

Guus is a Way of Honor Healer whose identity revolves around Golden Feathers, healing, Critical Hit support and keeping allies alive when enemy pressure becomes dangerous.

HERO IDENTITY

More Than a Healer.

Guus does not simply restore Health. His kit connects healing, Golden Feathers and Critical Hit mechanics, allowing him to support both the survival and offensive potential of his team.

CORE MECHANIC

Golden Feathers

Golden Feathers sit at the center of Guus's kit. They interact with healing, Critical Hit Chance, emergency recovery and several of his later development options. Understanding when Feathers are active and how long they remain active is essential to understanding Guus.

SKILLS

How Guus Works.

Guus's four skills form one connected system. Golden Feathers are distributed across the team and then interact with healing, Critical Hits and emergency survival.

SKILL 01

Under the Wing

Guus restores Health and gives a Golden Feather to each ally.

While an ally has a Golden Feather, their Critical Hit Chance is increased for eight seconds. Applying another Golden Feather before the effect expires extends its duration by another eight seconds.

The healing scales with Guus's Physical Attack.

SKILL 02

Feather Squad

Guus gives a Golden Feather to each ally positioned in front of him.

While those allies have a Feather, they restore Health whenever they receive damage from enemies.

This makes the mechanic particularly interesting for frontline Heroes that regularly absorb enemy pressure.

SKILL 03

Beak Peak

If an ally carrying a Golden Feather is about to fall below 25% Health, their Health is partially restored before that happens.

The amount restored increases according to how much duration remained on the Golden Feather.

After Beak Peak triggers, the Feather disappears.

SKILL 04

Honkageddon

Normally, Guus's Critical Hits do not deal additional damage. Instead, they restore Health to allies around the target and give them Golden Feathers.

Allies who already have a Golden Feather deal increased Critical Hit damage.

Way of Honor Heroes receive additional damage based on their current Health.

DEVELOPMENT

Build Priorities.

Physical Attack appears repeatedly throughout Guus's kit, while Critical Hit Chance becomes increasingly valuable through Honkageddon and later Legendary Relic development. Survivability remains essential because Guus must stay alive to maintain his healing engine.

Skin Priority

  1. Default Skin — Strength
  2. Harvest Skin — Physical Attack
  3. Twilight Skin — Critical Hit Chance + Skin Plus
  4. Angelical Skin — Health
  5. Mysterious Skin — Armor
  6. Dapper Skin — Magic Defense
  7. Gentleman Skin — Toughness

Glyph Priority

  1. Physical Attack
  2. Health
  3. Critical Hit Chance
  4. Strength
  5. Armor

Artifact Priority

  1. Book — Critical Hit Chance + Physical Attack
  2. Ring — Strength
  3. Weapon — Team Toughness

Core Development

  1. Build the stats that support Guus's skill effectiveness
  2. Maintain enough Health for reliable survival
  3. Increase Critical Hit Chance as his critical mechanics develop
  4. Max Gift of the Elements
WHY THIS ORDER?

Understanding the Build.

Skins

Strength comes first because it supports both Health and Physical Attack. Harvest then directly increases Physical Attack, while Twilight adds the Critical Hit Chance that interacts strongly with Honkageddon.

Glyphs

Start with Physical Attack, followed by Health and Critical Hit Chance. A useful initial target is Level 40 across the Glyphs. Going further becomes a larger investment and does not necessarily need to be rushed unless Guus is a major account priority or you are pursuing the Skill Class system.

Artifacts

The Book comes first because Physical Attack and Critical Hit Chance both fit Guus extremely well. The Ring follows with Strength. The Weapon's teamwide Toughness is useful, but the Book and Ring provide stronger direct development for Guus first.

Gift of the Elements

Max it. Guus is a middle-line Healer, but leaving him fragile works against his role. Additional Health and Physical Attack both support the direction of the build.

TALISMANS

Two Strong Options.

Neither of Guus's Talismans is a bad option. The better choice depends on what your Guus needs and which development path is available to your account.

TALISMAN 01

First Talisman

STRENGTH CRITICAL HIT CHANCE

An excellent combination for Guus. Strength contributes to survivability and Physical Attack, while Critical Hit Chance supports his critical-based mechanics.

Permanently available through the Eternal Frontier Shop for 700,000 Frontier Coins.

TALISMAN 02

Second Talisman

ARMOR PHYSICAL ATTACK

Physical Attack directly benefits Guus's kit, while Armor gives him additional protection against Physical Damage.

This Talisman is available through special events.

LEGENDARY RELICS

The Modern Guus.

Legendary Relics add another layer to Guus's Golden Feather and Critical Hit systems. They expand his healing engine and, at the highest level, provide powerful protection against specific forms of Critical Damage.

LEVEL 1

Featherhood

Every 11 seconds, Guus grants a Golden Feather to himself and to the ally with the highest Health stat.

This gives Guus another way to distribute Golden Feathers beyond his standard skill rotation.

LEVEL 10

Beak Peak Upgrade

Guus's skill healing gains Critical Healing at 200%.

His skill healing can now critically heal, with the chance depending on Guus's Critical Hit Chance.

LEVEL 20

Honkageddon Upgrade

When Guus deals critical damage, he additionally restores Health and grants a Golden Feather to nearby allies.

This further connects Critical Hit development with Guus's healing and Feather distribution.

LEVEL 30

Critical Protection

While Guus and his allies are affected by Golden Feather, they take 75% less Magic Critical Damage and Pure Critical Damage.

IMPORTANT:
This does not mean 75% less normal Magic Damage or 75% less normal Pure Damage. The protection specifically applies to Magic Critical Damage and Pure Critical Damage.
DEVELOPMENT NOTE

Guus Does Not Begin at Level 30.

The Level 30 Relic is a powerful late-game mechanic, but Guus's fundamental healing and Golden Feather engine exists long before it. Legendary Relics expand what he can do; they do not create his entire identity.

TEAM CONCEPTS

Don't Lock Guus Into One Team.

Guus can fit multiple structures. His Golden Feathers, healing, Critical Hit support and protection mechanics allow him to support very different team concepts depending on what the rest of the lineup needs.

HONOR STRUCTURES

Natural Synergy

TRISTAN • GALAHAD • LUTHER • GUUS

Guus naturally fits Honor-based structures, while Feather Squad can support frontline Heroes that are repeatedly absorbing enemy pressure.

DEFENSIVE CONCEPT

Protection & Control

JULIUS • CROW • MIU • FOLIO • GUUS

A tested defensive structure built around protection, control and Guus's sustain.

DODGE CONCEPT

Dodge Structure

YASMINE • DANTE • BYRNA • OCTAVIA • GUUS

A very different structure showing that Guus does not need to remain inside a traditional Honor lineup.

CONTROL CONCEPT

Control Defense

MIU • FOLIO • PHOBOS • TEMPUS • GUUS

Another control-heavy defensive option where Guus provides sustain behind a completely different core.

TEAM BUILDING PRINCIPLE

Ask What Your Team Needs.

Instead of asking only, “What is the Guus team?”, look at your existing structure and ask whether Guus's healing, Golden Feathers, Critical Hit support and protection solve a problem that team currently has.

COUNTERS

Fighting Against Guus.

Modern Guus has more tools than his original version. His development, team structure, Golden Feather uptime and Legendary Relics can all change how a matchup behaves.

PRESSURE

Mushy and Shroom

Their heavy Magic Damage and Clouds of Spores can put Guus under serious pressure while also bringing Silence into the matchup.

CONTROL

Polaris

Control can interfere with Guus and prevent him from freely cycling his Golden Feathers and healing.

BURST

Folio

Concentrated burst damage can potentially remove Guus before his sustain engine gets the opportunity to stabilize the team.
